Privacy policy

Privacy is not a product feature you bolt on later - it's a right, and it's the starting point for how this business is built. We collect as little as possible, we keep it on infrastructure we control, and we will never sell, rent, or profile you. That's not a marketing line; it's the architecture.

1. Data minimisation by design

The best way to protect your data is not to collect it. Every system we run is chosen with that principle first: if we don't need it, we don't ask for it, store it, or keep it. Surveillance capitalism is someone else's business model - we charge for sessions, not for access to you.

2. This website tracks nothing

This site is static HTML. There is no analytics software, no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, and no third-party trackers anywhere on it. We verified this by auditing the site source: the only script the pages load is our own booking widget, served from our own server at book.tldr-btc.com. No data about your visit leaves your browser to any third party, because there is nothing here to send it.

3. What we do collect, and why

Contact form & email

If you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message go to our own server and into our own mailbox (hello@tldr-btc.com). We use it only to reply to you. Our email is hosted with Namecheap Private Email.

Bookings

Bookings run on our own self-hosted booking system, on a server we control. Your booking details - name, email, chosen time - stay on infrastructure we operate, not in someone else's cloud dashboard.

Video calls

Virtual sessions run on our own self-hosted Jitsi instance. For one-to-one calls, audio and video flow peer-to-peer between our browsers - not through a third party's servers.

Card payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number - that data goes directly to Stripe, and Stripe's own privacy policy governs what they process. We receive only the confirmation that you paid.

4. What we never do

We don't sell your data. We don't rent it. We don't build profiles, broker audiences, run ads, or share your information with anyone for marketing purposes. There is no advertising business here, so there is nothing to monetise you with.

5. Retention, access & deletion

We keep personal information only as long as we need it to provide the Services and meet legal obligations - minimal retention, by policy. You can ask at any time to see what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it: email hello@tldr-btc.com and it's done.

6. The legal bit

TLDR BTC Pty Ltd handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under that law.

7. Changes & contact

If this policy changes, the current version will always be posted on this page with the date it was last updated. Questions, access requests, or deletion requests: hello@tldr-btc.com. See also our Terms & Conditions.
